Fractalus, only mountains were upside down and made caverns. It was really awesome. It
ran at about 6-7 fps on a 1.8MHz 6502. You had a fractal cavern, very realistic, with
glowing gems in the walls, moving real time. The game had a real atmosphere. It also had
scaled sprites (these were precalculated, though). To think what these guys could do
with a 6502 (no multiplication on this proc!) and 38Ko of RAM... There was this
Fractalus, which was unbelievable at the time (and is still impressing now...)
Talking of 3D mazes, there was also Capture the flag, which featured a split screen and
a map. The maze was drawn at about 15 fps and moved smoothly. On Atari 8-bit too.
